A Day No Pigs Would Die

While reading the book "A Day No Pigs Would Die" it was very eye opening because it thought you many moral lessons. For example one said by Heaven Peck the most important thing is not what you have or what you want but what you do in life. Also how much Rob matured though out the book is outstanding in about one year he went from being a boy to a man of the house that is a big responsibility. When you have to watch your dad, kill your best friend and your pet right under your nose. That has to lay heavy on your heart for the rest of your life. If I had to bury my mother or father I could not do it because I do not have the courage of the heart to see them like that it would kill my insides. After I was done reading the book I was sad and depressed because of Rob must have feeling in the end but at the same time I was kind of happy because now Rob can see all the little thing in life now.

The Third Wish

Although the old man is very pleased with his life there is just one thing he wants. He feels lonely and would like someone to be there with him in his life. Like the Disney movie Aladdin, where a man finds a lamp with a genie in it that will grant him three wishes, the story “The Third Wish” by Joan Aiken a man also received three wishes because he was a very grateful and very deserving person.

Since the man in the story used his wishes wisely he did not use the third wish, unlike the movie Aladdin where he did not use his wishes wisely. He used the first one to be a prince, to let the genie go and to go back to the man he was. In the story he used the first wish to wish for a wife as beautiful as the forest, the second to wish her back to a swan so she could live with her sister.

Whenever you reserve three wishes you might want to think of what your wishes are before you them. So in life you want to be more like the man in The Three Wishes because if you want to me a good person like Mr. Peter’s, that would be a good choice.
