Fun times

Sitting on the couch giggling all the times. Thinking and wondering about what our lives will be like together. Also whenever we get together we are always talking about boys! Sometimes when we are calmed down and we can sit down and relax. However most of time we are crazy. For example sitting in dairy queen eating ice cream texting my moomy and annoying her. There are many more wonderful times together.

Imagine

Imagine...............

not having anyone there for you

not knowing were you are going to sleep tonight

only having the cloths on your back to live

not knowing what food or even if you are going to eat today

not even knowing were your brothers and sisters are or if they are even still alive

having a mother that does not even remember you

being the only black boy in a all white school

having some teachers that have no belief in you and only think you are going to fail

sitting in class and having no idea what your teacher are talking about

kids looking at you and giving you looks and thinking who is that big black guy

This are all the things that Michel Oher in the movie the "The Blind Side" had to go through and think about almost every day.

Speak

Imagine being a girl who has all the power to chance her life from amiss, idiotic and disorderly to bliss, exceptional and assuage with only one thing. Laurie Halse Anderson created the character of Melinda, this character who could have made better decisions to change her given situation.

Melinda chose to isolate her self from the rest of the world. She chose just hide out in a closet all day at not talk to anyone. She chose to ignore anyone when they try to talk to her she would just blow them off and not talk back. She chose to brush off anyone that tried to get to know her; she would just put up a wall and shut down and go hide in her closet all alone like she always does. I do not know why people keep trying just let her be the insignificant person that she wants to be. The biggest thing is that she choose to do all of these things and she can fix them if she really put her mind to it. The character that was created of Melinda should let people talk to her and let people in and have people listen to what really happened at the party. However there is a way she could have avoid her lack of knowledge by not even going to the party in the first place. Which means that she would nave not got drunk and not have been in the place were she can not even talk or react to anything. Even though Melinda did not does kids in her grade think that she is cantankerous.

Melinda did not just do one thing wrong she did many it was not just how she isolated herself she should have spoken up at made her friends and parents listen to her. The book is called "Speak" for very many reasons one of them is because she was to afraid and fearful to speak up and tell someone what happened at the party. Even though on the first day of school she her "best friend" before the party made time to look at Melinda and stick her tongue out at. Melinda needs to make her friends listen to her and make them hear what she has to say. No Melinda is to scared to tell anyone. She had some merge problems that she needs to figure out in her head. Melinda can not even tell her parents what happened at the party on page 72 she was going to tell her parents but she chicken out and did not tell them and she just went and hide away from the rest of the world like she always does.

Melinda could have made some much better decisions in her life. Don't be afraid to speak your mind and not hold back and live your life to it's fullest.

Storms

The gusts of powerful wind blow on my window
The falling of the chromatic leaves getting stuck in the screen
The glowing lightening strikes and fills up the sky
The miserable rain is coming down harder than ever
The rumbling of the thunder in our souls
The hollers and screaming of the children all around me
The feeling of loneliness just laying in bed
The horrible darkness spread throughout my body
The storm is endless

Patriotism

Patriotism is the love of country; devotion to the welfare of one's country; the actions of a patriot’s soul; the passion which inspires one to serve one's country. This is a definition of what patriotism means I believe that patriotism does still matter in this world today.

The American flag is one the most important thing that represents the hard work that of everyone worked for. The white stripes stand for purity and innocence in America. Red stands for hardiness, valour and the blond that we have shed for our country. Lastly blue behind the stars stands for perseverance and justice. Altogether the American flag means that all of the hard and growling times in our lives.

Patriotism does still matter in the world today. It is very important to understand why patriotism still matters.

" The Clean Well-Lighted Place

Once there was an old and a young waiter and they worked at the same bar where there was an old man who sat in the corner in shadows who was a little drunk. The old and the young waiter did not always get along or agree very much in the short story by Ernest Hemingway called “The Clean Well-Lighted Place”. There are many differences between young and old people.

Young and old people are different in my ways. Younger people can be either happily just married or still single and looking for someone to spend the rest of their life with. Older people can either be long and happily married or not married and my lonely or some people are not married and are happy with their life. In this story the old waiter was lonely and had no wife to go home to. Along the lines of the younger waiter he was married and had someone to go home to. My great grandmother lost her husband and now lives with my grandma and grandpa so she does not really have anyone to go home to. So as you can see there are many difference between young and old.

Relationships are not the only thing that old and young people do not have in common; they have different perspective on life. Older people can have more understanding about life and why some people doing things they do. The old waiter had more sympathy and understanding of the old man that was drunk in the corner. The young waiter said that I want to go home to his wife and that his life is more important than the old man's. Some people have more understand an life because of thing that happened in the past.

Young and old people are just in different states in their lives. Young people need to have a better understanding on life. They need to not be so stuck up and it is not all about them like the young waiter was.
